2 charged with burning car for insurance

One had been a part-time Lehigh County deputy sheriff. Two Allentown men, one a former part-time Lehigh County deputy sheriff, were charged with arson, insurance fraud and related crimes in connection with the deputy's car being torched in December under a bridge in Whitehall, according to a statement released Thursday by the county district attorney's office.
